Privacy

Last updated: June 2026.

Camps.asia is an independent, free resource. This policy explains what limited data we collect, the third-party tools that run on the site, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because the whole point of this site is to be straightforward.

What we collect directly

The only information you actively give us is what you type into a form: your email address (and, for the alert forms, which camp or region you asked about) when you sign up for a registration alert, or your email and message when you use the contact form. We use the alert email for exactly one thing, telling you when that camp opens registration, and the contact email to reply to you. We don't sell it, rent it, or add you to unrelated mailing lists. To be removed, reply to any email from us or use the contact form and we'll delete it. Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, under their privacy terms.

Analytics and measurement

Like most websites, we measure how the site is used so we can improve it. We do this through the following Google services, loaded via Google Tag Manager:

Heatmapping and site improvement (may be used)

We may use a behavior-analytics tool such as Crazy Egg or a similar service to see how visitors scroll, click, and move through pages, so we can make the site clearer and easier to use. These tools use cookies and record aggregated, anonymized interaction data. They do not capture anything you type into form fields.

Advertising (may be used in the future)

This site is currently ad-free. If we add advertising in the future, it would likely be through Google AdSense or a comparable network. Ad networks use cookies to show relevant ads and to limit how often you see the same one; Google may use the advertising identifier from your device for this. When and if we turn ads on, we will update this policy, and visitors in regions that require it (such as the EU and UK) will be shown a cookie-consent choice before any advertising or non-essential cookies are set.

Your choices

You're in control:

If you're in a region with data-protection rights (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you can request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold, which in practice means your form email, through that same contact form.

Children

This site is written for parents and guardians researching camps. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. Email signups should be completed by an adult.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows, particularly if we add the heatmapping or advertising tools described above. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
