Camps Taught in Mandarin

Camps where the classroom runs in Mandarin. This page splits into two groups that look similar and could not be more different: programs built FOR language learners where zero Chinese is fine, and local camps where your kid needs real comprehension to keep up and make friends.

Built for learners: zero Mandarin is fine

These programs exist to teach Mandarin. Placement levels start at absolute beginner, staff handle English, and a kid who arrives with nothing leaves with something.

Taught in Mandarin: real comprehension needed

These are local camps that happen to run in Chinese. For a fluent or heritage-fluent kid they double as immersion, a coding camp in Mandarin teaches two things at once. For a kid without the language, the week gets lonely fast. Be honest about your kid's actual level here, not the level you wish they had.
