Registration calendar

The Taiwan camp registration calendar

Based on data verified June 12, 2026

Here's the uncomfortable truth about good camps in Taiwan: by the time most families start searching in April or May, the best sessions are already gone. NTNU's Mandarin Summer Camp closed registration entirely on May 22. Taipei American School's Summer Academy closed applications May 13–20. Camp Taiwan's first July week was full for girls and teens by mid-June.

Nobody publishes this rhythm in one place, every operator announces on their own site, in their own language, on their own schedule. So we built the calendar from our verified 2026 data. Treat the months below as the pattern for planning next summer; exact dates shift slightly year to year, and we'll update each entry as operators announce.

December

Planning season opens

Study-tour operators move first. The Chinese Culture Learning Center had its full summer program page live by late December, six months ahead. If you're an overseas family planning a Taiwan summer, this is when itinerary decisions should start.

January

The big inbound window

NTNU's Mandarin Summer Camp opened applications January 6 at 10:00 AM in 2026. Camp Taiwan session registration historically opens in this window too. If Mandarin immersion is the goal, January is not early. January is on time.

February

School-program registration

TAS Summer Academy opened registration February 25 for Lower and Middle School in 2026. Non-TAS families need extra application documents, so the prep work starts before the window opens.

March

Teen tracks and early birds

TAS Upper School registration opened March 4. Local STEAM operators start posting summer lineups and early-bird pricing around now.

April

Early-bird deadlines, and the mass market opens

MTC's Signature Summer Program waived its registration fee for payments before April 2. Orange Apple's early-bird pricing ran until April 30. NTNU was posting per-session availability updates by April 21, meaning sessions were filling. And China Youth Corps opened its entire nationwide catalog April 24.

May

Doors start closing

TAS applications closed May 13–20. NTNU closed registration entirely May 22. Mandarin Daily News early-bird pricing ended May 28, and Leofoo's resort vet camp opened its calmer late-May window. If you're starting your search in May, you're choosing from what's left.

June

Sold-out season, and the zoo stampede

By June 12 we logged Camp Taiwan's session 1 full for girls and teens, session 3 full for youth boys, and its June Mandarin week closed. And the single most competitive moment of the year: Taipei Zoo's 550 camp spots open June 15 at exactly 10:00 AM, first-come, and vanish almost immediately. Late-summer sessions (August) are where the remaining space lives.

The fix is boring and effective: decide in winter, register the week windows open, and use the alerts on each camp page so the opening date comes to you instead of the other way around.
