The British Council in Taiwan runs English holiday courses for children and teens at four teaching centers: Xinyi, Tianmu Shipai and Songshan in Taipei, and Linkou. Registration for the 2027 winter courses was open when we checked on October 15, 2026, but the course pages did not yet show dates or fees.
Winter 2027 is built around stories. Ages 3 to 5 take Learning Time with Timmy in 2-hour lessons (Songshan and Linkou only). Ages 4 to 6 build characters and scenes with LEGO and tell their own stories, and ages 6 to 12 plan and voice their own animated story with the Toontastic 3D app. Teens aged 13 to 17 plan and film a stop-motion animation, and ages 15 to 17 can take IELTS units at Xinyi.
In summer 2026 the courses ran weekly from July 6 to August 21, with a museum-building theme. Children aged 6 to 12 did 30 hours a week, 9:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 17:00, while ages 4 to 6 had two-week sessions of mornings only. The course for ages 13 to 17 ran July 20 to August 14. Summer 2027 dates were not published when we checked.

Sign up through the British Council Taiwan website; each winter course page has a sign-up button. Dates and fees for winter 2027 were not on the pages when we checked on October 15, 2026, so ask the British Council. In summer 2026 the pages advertised savings of up to NT$8,400.

Minimum ages: courses for 6 to 12 need a child aged 6 who has started grade 1. Winter courses for younger children start at age 3; the 13 to 17 courses are for grades 7 to 12.
Children are placed by age and level. To learn about the level placement, fill in the online form and the British Council will contact you.
Summer 2026 classes had 7 to 14 children.
In the winter courses for ages 4 to 6 and 6 to 12, parents are invited into the classroom for the last 30 minutes of each class to see the children's work.
