Academic Enrichment · Pre-K to Grade 12 · English
This is the academic anchor of the Taipei summer. Taipei American School has run its Summer Academy for twenty years, and the course list reads like a good American prep school compressed into four weeks: Introduction to AI, robotics engineering, programming for game design, film production, debate, expository writing, US history, and quirkier offerings like training to be a National Palace Museum docent.
Here's the part many families outside the school don't realize: you don't have to be a TAS student. Non-TAS families apply through separate application forms, and plenty of international-school and bilingual-program kids use the Academy as their academic summer block.
The structure follows the divisions. Lower, Middle, and Upper School, so a Grade 10 student is in genuinely upper-school coursework, not a generic teen track. For families thinking about US college applications, the Upper School offerings are an easy way to add substance to a summer.
We track when every camp on this site opens registration. Drop your email and we'll ping you when TAS Summer Academy opens for the next season, before the popular sessions fill.
One email when registration opens. That's it.
