Overview
iROBO, operating as 光點創意 (Light Point Creative), is a coding and robotics center for children and teens aged 5 to 18, with classrooms in Banqiao, New Taipei and near the Central Taiwan Science Park in Xitun, Taichung. Younger children start with LEGO mechanics and LEGO Boost coding; older children move on to SPIKE and EV3 robot coding, then Python.
Winter 2027 camps are published: 2-day and 3-day camps between January 21 and February 3, 2027, at both locations, with regular prices from NT$4,700 to NT$7,600 including lunch. Most camps need no coding experience. The center says certain camps, Python + AI Robot Inventor and C++ with Arduino, will run in summer 2027; summer dates were not published when we checked on October 15, 2026.
Camps run 9:00 to 16:00, and the classroom opens at 8:30, with pick-up by 17:30. A 2-day and a 3-day camp in the same theme cover the same topic, with more models in the 3-day version, so the center suggests choosing one; different themes can be combined into a five-day plan.
Registration
Registration is online only, by campus (Banqiao or Taichung). After you fill in the form you get a payment email; you pay by bank transfer or in cash at the center, and then receive a confirmation email. Early-bird pricing and a choice of LEGO gifts were on offer when we checked; places in each session are limited.

Good to know
Laptops are provided, one per student, and some camps ask children to bring a Bluetooth phone or tablet.
Junior high and high school students get a certificate for the Python + AI, C++ and Arduino, and AI Lab courses, which the center notes can support a learning portfolio (學習歷程). Elementary camps do not give certificates.
Banqiao classroom: Lane 177, Siwei Road, near Xinpu and Xinpu Minsheng MRT stations. Taichung classroom: Fulin Road, Xitun District.
Regular term-time courses run too, so a camp can lead into ongoing classes.
If classes are cancelled for a typhoon or by government order, affected sessions are postponed and made up.
