The Chinese Cultural Learning Center (CCLC), based in San Francisco, ran a two-week Taiwan study tour in summer 2026 for elementary school students and their parents. Session A (June 22 to 28) was forest ecology and culture in Taichung, Nantou and the Dasyueshan forest; Session B (June 29 to July 3) was a Mandarin and culture week at Chinese Culture University in Taipei.
Session A was for both parents and students: forest walks and tree planting, a night safari to spot animals such as flying squirrels and muntjacs, kendo and indigo dyeing with Taiwanese students, a bird park and tea picking in Nantou. Session B was for students only, with Chinese class every morning and extra Mandarin, culture classes or a half-day field trip in the afternoons, following the Chinese Culture University Mandarin Learning Center timetable.
Each session was limited to 15 places. The 2027 tour was not published when we checked on October 15, 2026.
Registration
In 2026, Session A cost USD 1,430 (parents and students), Session B USD 780 (students only), or USD 2,150 per person for both weeks at the early bird price. Prices did not include airfare or Taipei lodging; the center said it could provide lodging information. Families signed up through an online form linked from the program page.

Parents joined Session A only. Session B, the Chinese Culture University week, was for students only.
The two language versions of the page describe lodging differently: the English page mentions a hotel and resorts, the Chinese page a National Taiwan Normal University (師大) dormitory and a forest resort. Confirm with the operator.
The 2026 sample schedule started with a meeting point at Taipei Main Station and a charter bus to Taichung.
The operator says the itinerary can change for weather, safety or updates from partner schools and activity providers.
