Overview
China Medical University in Taichung runs medical camps for children through its continuing education center (中國醫藥大學推廣教育中心). Teaching staff and doctors from the university and its hospitals introduce medicine in plain, simple terms, with hands-on activities.
For winter 2027 there are two day camps. The elementary camp for grades 3 to 6 runs five days, January 25 to 29, 2027, and covers both Chinese and Western medicine, with hands-on activities and a visit to a Chinese medicine museum. The junior high anatomy camp for grades 7 to 9 runs three days, January 27 to 29, led by the head of the medical school's anatomy department.
Both camps run 8:30 to 16:30 in the 互助教學大樓 building on the university's Yingcai campus, 學士路91號, North District, Taichung. Each has 40 places and runs only if at least 20 children sign up.
Registration
Registration is online only, through the university's registration system, until January 24, 2027 at 22:00 or until the camp is full. The system shows the elementary camp opening on October 8, 2026, while the camp text says October 9 at noon. Pay in person at the center (Monday to Friday, 8:10 to 17:00), by postal transfer or by bank transfer, then tell the center by phone or on LINE (@cce22054326). On the first day, bring a copy of your child's National Health Insurance card.

Good to know
Day camps only: parents drop off and pick up. Please collect your child by 17:30; later pick-up costs NT$100 per half hour, and please come no later than 18:00.
Free places for the elementary camp: 財團法人金鴻兒童文教基金會 fully covers children in grades 3 to 6 from low-income, lower-middle-income or single-earner families, with proof, one child per household. These places are to be confirmed in mid-December. The junior high camp has no subsidized places.
Discounts (one only): returning students skip the NT$300 registration fee. Groups of 3 or more, children of the university's staff, students, alumni or hospital volunteers, and people with disabilities and their children get 10% off tuition.
Refunds: 90% of fees if you cancel before the camp starts, half within the first third of the camp, and none after that. The registration fee is not refunded.
Parents cannot sit in or film in the classroom. A child who misses a third or more of the hours does not receive a certificate.
The center has also announced 7 medical-theme winter camps for junior and senior high students, with registration until December 18, 2026 at 17:00; we have not checked their dates and prices.
