The continuing education unit at National Sun Yat-sen University ran five-day science camps for children in summer 2026, based at the university's International Research Building in Gushan District, Kaohsiung. The 2027 dates were not published when we checked on Oct 15, 2026.
In summer 2026 the list included an AI STEAM camp (robots, generative AI and Python, session 1) from July 6 to 10 for grades 3 to 6, a drone flight camp from August 3 to 7 that ended with a drone competition, and a marine biology camp with three days at NSYSU followed by two days and one night at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Checheng, Pingtung.
This suits families in Kaohsiung looking for a full-day science week on a university campus. The published prices for the AI STEAM and marine camps covered teaching, materials, venue, meals, transport and travel insurance.
Registration
In summer 2026, sign-up was online on the NSYSU continuing education site: register a member account in the child's name, click sign up, then pay within 5 days. The marine camp filled up, and sign-ups after 10:30 on June 15 went on a waitlist. Pages show only a discounted price (early bird, family, multi-camp or group rate, only one of these applies), not a regular price.
