The China Youth Corps (救國團) has run holiday camps for young people in the winter and summer breaks since the winter of 1953. Its 2026 summer catalog had dozens of programs, with separate lists for elementary pupils from grade 3, junior high, senior high and college students, and adults and families.
In summer 2026 the programs ran in July and August, including multi-day trips with lodging: hiking teams on the cross-island highways, cycling trips, island adventures to Green Island, Matsu, Lanyu and Kinmen, a Miaoli outdoor adventure school and a round-island trip. Prices varied widely by program. For example, three-day camps for grades 3 to 6 started from NT$6,200, the Fighting! Special Forces Camp in Taoyuan was NT$6,500, and the five-day Kavalan Nature Exploration School in Yilan was NT$16,000.
CYC says it runs camps in both winter and summer breaks, but no winter 2027 or summer 2027 programs were listed when we checked on October 15, 2026. Program titles have English names, but the details are in Chinese, so this suits children who read and speak Chinese comfortably.
Registration
Summer 2026 sign-ups were online through the CYC youth activity site, with a 12% early-bird discount for any camp booked by April 30, 12% off for graduating students by May 30 (at the counter) and 7% off by June 21. Group bookings were welcome. The 2027 programs and discounts were not published when we checked on October 15, 2026.

Summer 2026 prices were listed per program in the online brochure: for example NT$6,500 (Fighting! Special Forces Camp, Taoyuan) and NT$8,900 (Mawudu Forest Explorer Camp, Hsinchu) for three-day camps, and NT$16,000 for the five-day Kavalan Nature Exploration School.
The 2026 programs we checked included lodging, from tents at a campsite to shared rooms of 2 to 8 at lodges.
Summer 2026 also had a Taiwan study tour for overseas Chinese teens (華裔青少年臺灣見學團2.0版).
