Dr. Sparks, run by Sparkle and Shine, describes its summer camp as a 5-day English STEAM adventure camp for elementary students. Each day covers one branch of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) through hands-on experiments, team challenges and a story-driven mission.
In summer 2026 the camp ran in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Linkou and Hsinchu, in weeks between July 6 and August 21, held at local schools. Camp hours were 9:00 to 4:30, with drop-off from 8:00 and pick-up until 5:30. The regular price was NT$19,490 for 5 days, including equipment, lunch and snacks, and each student took home 11 experiment kits.
The camp is primarily conducted in English by international teachers, with a teacher for every 6 students and Taiwanese teaching assistants in each class. It suits children who are already somewhat comfortable in English; the operator suggests beginners start with its one-day weekend programs.

Good to know
Open to students entering grade 2 through grade 6, and junior high students are welcome too. Children about to enter grade 1 may join the younger group only with a parent present throughout.
Classes are placed by age and English level. The younger group gets a little Chinese support for key words.
Lunch and an afternoon snack are included; vegetarian meal boxes can be arranged.
Refunds before the camp start on a sliding scale (90% of tuition 31 or more days ahead, down to 50% the day before); material fees are not refundable.
