This is the top of the NTNU summer ladder, built for older teens and young adults who want a serious Mandarin intensive rather than a kids' camp. The 2026 season offered an 8-week track from June 15 to August 7, plus two 4-week tracks for tighter schedules.
What's included is unusually broad: textbooks, field trips, culture classes, professional seminars, company visits, access to the NTNU fitness center and library, and accident insurance. The company visits are the tell, this program is partly a window into working Taiwan, which makes it interesting for a 17-year-old thinking about engineering, tech, or studying in Asia.
It's the natural step up for a student who has aged out of the camps: rigorous, university-run, and surrounded by adult learners from dozens of countries.
Registration
Early-bird applicants who paid tuition before April 2 had the registration fee waived in 2026. Housing is not included, budget roughly USD 700–1,072/month for living costs in Taipei, with private rooms running about USD 300–720/month.
We track when every camp on this site opens registration. Drop your email and we'll ping you when MTC Signature Summer Program opens for the next season, before the popular sessions fill.
One email when registration opens. That's it.
Good to know
Three tracks in 2026: 8-week (Jun 15–Aug 7), 4-week A (Jun 15–Jul 10), 4-week B (Jul 13–Aug 7).
Tuition covers trips, culture classes, seminars, company visits, gym and library access, and insurance. It excludes airfare, housing, and meals.
Language Partner Activities cost extra, students are advised to budget at least USD 200.
Best fit: ages 16+ with real motivation. Younger kids belong in the NTNU Mandarin Summer Camp instead.
