In this four-day camp in summer 2026, children assembled their first bike themselves, learned to ride safely, then took it out on the road. At the end they took the finished Merida bike and a full set of gear home. The camp was organized by the Taiwan i-Ride Education Association and Merida Industry Co.
In summer 2026 there were 9 sessions in the north, center and south of Taiwan, each 4 days and 3 nights with meals and lodging, and separate rooms for boys and girls. The northern sessions were at 新北淡江農場 in Tamsui, New Taipei, the central ones at Hungkuang University in Shalu, Taichung, and the southern ones at 地坎納單車驛站 in Annan, Tainan. China Youth Corps also added two sessions in Shilin, Taipei.
It suits older children and teens who like hands-on work and are ready for a long ride: the summer 2026 program included a ride of about 60 km round trip with a support vehicle. Summer 2026 is over, and when we checked on October 15, 2026, no 2027 edition had been posted.
