The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) runs a Youth Drama Camp for teens and young adults. The 2026 camp, held in summer, was the 11th edition, themed "Between Me and ___". Teens spent five days creating and rehearsing in the venue's rehearsal rooms, then performed in the Recital Hall on the last evening.
In summer 2026 the camp ran August 3 to 7, 09:00 to 17:30 each day, with the showcase on August 7 from 19:00 to 20:30. It had 52 places, first come first served. It is for teens and young adults only: students who have just finished junior high (entering grade 10) through graduating university seniors, with an interest in the performing arts.
The 2026 camp is over, and 2027 dates were not published when we checked on October 15, 2026. Weiwuying's 2026 Summer Dance Camp also included a short parent-child workshop for children aged 4 to 8, but that workshop was the only part of the dance camp for young children that we found.
Registration
In 2026, registration ran May 4 to June 30 (12:00) on the Weiwuying website, followed by an online form and a consent form within 3 days. The fee was NT$4,500, or NT$4,200 early bird (May 4 to June 1). 2027 details were not published when checked on October 15, 2026.
