The Center of Language and Culture Teaching (CLCT) at National Kaohsiung Normal University (國立高雄師範大學-語言與文化教學中心) runs Mandarin summer camps for overseas children on its Heping campus in Kaohsiung's Lingya District. The pages describe the camps as for overseas children and teens. They do not say whether children who live in Taiwan may join, so ask the center first if that is your family.
In summer 2026 there were two camps, each run in three-week sessions: June 22 to July 10, July 13 to July 31, and August 3 to August 21. The Kids & Youths Mandarin camp combined immersive learning with outings to museums, historic sites and transport, plus STEAM activities, calligraphy, paper art and traditional snack making, in classes of about 10 to 15 children, with a children's group aged 6 to 11 and a teen group aged 12 to 16.
The Mandarin & Sports camp put Mandarin lessons in the morning and coached sports in the afternoon, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:30. Sports included swimming, pop dance, frisbee, table tennis, basketball and soccer, and the timetable added baseball, fitness and stand-up paddling (SUP) in week 3, ending with a showcase and closing ceremony. The summer 2026 camps are over, and no 2027 camp pages were up when we checked on October 15, 2026.
