The Chinese Culture University Mandarin Learning Center (中國文化大學華語中心) runs a summer day camp for foreign children and teenagers who want to learn Chinese, in two age groups: 7 to 9 and 10 to 13. The center says it has run Mandarin summer camps since 2000. In summer 2026 there were two 3-week sessions, June 29 to July 17 and July 20 to August 7, both full. The 2027 dates were not published when we checked on Oct 15, 2026.
Days run Monday to Friday, 9:10 to 15:00, at the campus on Jianguo South Road in Taipei. Children take a placement test and join leveled Mandarin classes in the morning. Afternoons are cultural courses such as Chinese knotting, dough figurines and kung fu, or extra language practice, and each session includes two off-campus trips.
It suits foreign children who want structured Mandarin classes with a cultural side. In 2026 parents could also join a beginner Mandarin class of their own at the same time, if at least 5 people signed up.
Registration
In summer 2026 the fee was NT$42,000 per 3-week session, with no registration fee and lunch NT$2,100 in cash per session. Returning students paid NT$37,800 and early bird sign-ups before Feb 28 paid NT$39,900 (one discount per person). Families applied online or at the center, and both sessions filled. The 2027 dates and fees were not published when we checked on Oct 15, 2026.
